SUMMARY:Radisson & District Agricultural Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Radisson & District Agricultural Fair has been held the second weekend in August for over a century.  The 103rd annual Fair will run Friday\, August 8 through Sunday\, August 10\, 2025. \nExhibits are submitted and judged on Friday. There are many categories for exhibitors to enter.  These include:  Grains and Forage\, Sheaves and Seeds; Horticulture\, Garden Fruits\, Domestic Arts (Canned Goods\, Baking\, Needlework)\, Plants and Flowers (Outdoor Flowers and House Plants)\, Crafts\, Art and Photography. \nEntrants are further broken down into age categories for both adults and children.  These sections are:  Pre-School and Kindergarten\, Junior entrants (those aged 6 through 12)\, Teenagers (13 through 17 years)\, and adults.  Adults are required to pay an entry fee for each submission but children do NOT pay to enter exhibits.  The organization is grateful to those who make contributions and donations to the Agricultural Fair.  Without these generous sponsors the provision of prize money\, for the various exhibits\, averaging approximately $3\,500.00 per year\, would not be possible. \nSaturday morning\, the fun begins in earnest\, with a Slo-Pitch Tournament and a parade.  Activities continue throughout the day with gymkhana\, amusement rides and a bouncy castle\, face painting\, enchanted princesses\, a musical jamboree\, Beeper the clown\, a baby crawl contest\, and even a reptile exhibit and petting zoo!  A dance\, sponsored by the Radisson Fire Department\, concludes the evening. \nA pancake breakfast starts off the Sunday schedule.  The Slo-Pitch Tournament also continues and a Vintage Tractor Pull takes place.  The swimming pool is also open both days. \nSeveral concession booths offer food throughout the Fair.  Both the Radisson Curling Club and the Radisson Recreation Board have booths selling burgers\, hot dogs and drinks.  The Radisson Seniors Club sells ice cream\, with both cones and sundaes\, to give a reprieve from the heat.  The Radisson Fire Department also has a Beer Garden selling ice cold beer and other refreshments from inside the Skating Rink. \nFor additional information or inquiries\, the Radisson Agricultural Society can be contacted via email at radissonagsociety@gmail.com
