Business Owners

The Town Office is here to help guide you every step of the way—from securing a business license and understanding zoning regulations to accessing local services and integrating into the community.

Business owners benefit from Radisson’s close-knit, family-friendly atmosphere, easy access to major highways, and proximity to Saskatoon. We’re happy to provide assistance with permits, local bylaws, utilities, and promotional opportunities. Our goal is to help you succeed and become a valued part of our growing local economy.

Business License Application

All businesses operating within Radisson must obtain a municipal business license. The Town of Radisson has implemented Business License Bylaw 2023-13, which mandates licensing for all local businesses. This initiative aims to build a comprehensive business directory and promote local enterprises.

How to Apply:

  • Contact the Town Office to request the business license application form.
  • Submit the completed application along with the applicable fee. License fees vary. For renewals, the fee is $10.

Development and Building Permits

If your business involves constructing a new building, renovating an existing structure, or changing the use of a property, you may require development and/or building permits. Before starting any construction or renovation work, consult the Town Office to ensure your business activities align with local zoning regulations and are permitted at your chosen location. The Town Office can also guide you on obtaining any necessary permits required to proceed.

Provincial Business Registration

Register your business with the Saskatchewan Corporate Registry. This step is essential for legal recognition and may be required for tax purposes. To legally establish your business in Radisson, you’ll need to register with the Saskatchewan Corporate Registry, which handles the registration of sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations. Additionally, the BizPaL online tool—offered by the Government of Saskatchewan—can help you quickly identify the specific permits and licenses required for your business activities.

Health and Safety Permits

If your business involves food preparation or handling, you’ll need to submit floor plans and other required documentation to your local public health inspector and obtain a food facility license from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Liquor Licensing (If Applicable)

Businesses planning to sell or serve alcohol must apply for the appropriate liquor license through the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) and determine the specific type of license needed—such as tavern, restaurant, or special-use—based on their business model.
