Recycling Services in Radisson, Saskatchewan
The Town of Radisson is committed to sustainability and providing efficient recycling services to its residents. We encourage everyone to participate in recycling to help reduce waste and protect our environment. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about the recycling program in Radisson.
The Town of Radisson is a member of 16 to 43 Waste Management Corporation –– a regional waste and recycling facility serving Radisson and four other founding municipalities: Maymont, Blaine Lake, Hafford, and the RM of Douglas. Established in 2015, the corporation was created to provide a cost-effective, locally managed solution for waste disposal and recycling in rural Saskatchewan.

What Can I Put in the Blue Recycling Bin?
Acceptable Items for Recycling:
- Cardboard (flattened): Including cartons, beer cases, and cereal boxes
- Office paper
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- Egg cartons
- Flyers
- Brochures
- Milk and juice cartons (Remove caps and rinse)
- Phone books
- Shredded office paper (Please bag)
- Plastic grocery bags (Please bag a bunch together)
- Containers (rinsed): Pop bottles, detergent jugs, shampoo bottles, and yogurt and margarine containers
- Aluminum: Trays, foil, and beverage cans
- Tin cans (emptied, rinsed, and labels removed)
Unacceptable Items for Recycling (must go in black garbage bin):
- Styrofoam
- Plastic wrap
- Plasticized, waxed or laminated boxes and paper goods
- Tissues and paper towels
- Glass jars and bottles
Please Note:
Do not bag your recycling. Place items loosely in the blue bin.
Unacceptable Items for Both Bins
- Scrap metal
- Batteries of any kind
- Wood (lumber) & building materials
- Motor oil, filters & containers
- Computer & electronics
- Concrete or rock
- Light bulbs & fluorescent tubes
- Mirrors & window glass
Please Note: The above items must be taken to the local transfer station (located behind the Communiplex) or to the 16 to 43 Waste Management Landfill and Recycling Facility for handling.
